What areas do you serve?

We primarily serve South Jersey, the Jersey Shore, and the Greater Philadelphia area including the Main Line, plus Myrtle Beach and the Grand Strand in South Carolina. Jersey City and Hoboken are not currently served.

How far in advance should I book?

Four to eight weeks for most engagements. Holiday weeks and summer Jersey Shore weekends book three to six months out. Weekly meal prep can often start within a week.

Do you accommodate dietary restrictions?

Yes. Chef Matt specializes in gluten-free (he has celiac), dairy-free, keto, paleo, vegan, vegetarian, and any allergies. Multi-diet households are standard.

What's included in weekly meal prep?

Menu planning, grocery shopping, cooking in your home, portioning, labeling with reheat instructions, and full cleanup. Meals are stored in your fridge/freezer ready to heat and eat.

How much does a private dinner cost?

Private dinners are $125 per person with an 8-guest minimum ($1,000), plus the cost of groceries. Travel over 25 miles from 08094 adds a $100 fee.

How much do cooking classes, chef's table, cocktail parties, and wood-fired pizza cost?

$150 per person with an 8-guest minimum ($1,200), plus groceries. Same travel terms apply.

How is brunch priced?

$150 per person for parties of 1–10. $1,750 minimum for 11–20 guests. $2,500 minimum for 21–30 guests.

How does tax work?

No NJ sales tax when groceries are reimbursed by the client. PA charges 6% (with an additional 2% in Philadelphia). South Carolina and other states collect applicable sales tax.

Is gratuity included?

A 20% gratuity is automatically applied to any party over $1,000. It is added to the final bill and can also be paid separately via cash or Venmo.

How do I book and what's the payment process?

A 50% deposit reserves your date. The remaining balance plus grocery costs are due the day of your event.

Do you handle cleanup?

Yes. Every service includes complete kitchen cleanup. We leave your kitchen as clean — or cleaner — than we found it.

Do you provide tableware and serving equipment?

For most private dinners we use your existing tableware. For larger events we can coordinate rentals or recommend trusted vendors.

Can you do events at vacation rentals?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Shore houses, vacation rentals, and Airbnbs are a signature part of what we do. We just need access to a functional kitchen.

What's your cancellation policy?

48 hours notice for meal prep cancellations. Dinner parties and events follow the cancellation terms in your booking agreement, scaled to event size.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Chef Matts Culinary Creations LLC is fully licensed and insured. Chef Matt is ServSafe certified and a USPCA member.

Can I customize the menu?

Always. Every menu is built around your preferences, dietary needs, and the occasion during a short consultation.

Do you offer wine pairing?

Yes. We recommend pairings and can coordinate with local wine shops. Wine is typically purchased separately by the client.

Do you offer tastings before booking an event?

For larger events (10+ guests) we can arrange a tasting consultation. For smaller dinners we share menu options and photos of similar events.
