"From Chef's Heart to Your Plate."
Pennsylvania chef work splits two ways. Philadelphia proper — Center City professionals, Society Hill families, restored townhouses in Old City and Northern Liberties. And the Main Line — Bryn Mawr, Wayne, Villanova, Gladwyne, Ardmore — households with kitchens built for cooking and dining rooms built for entertaining. Both have demand for ongoing private chef service and one-time personal chef bookings.
Chef Matts Culinary Creations works across both markets.
Two Kinds of Chef Work
A private chef is a relationship — recurring meal prep, standing in-home dinners, custom menu rotation that evolves with the household. A personal chef is an evening — one dinner party, one brunch, one occasion. Different services, different pricing, different cadence.
For ongoing service in Philadelphia, see private chef in Philadelphia. For one-time work in the city, see personal chef in Philadelphia. For both types of service on the Main Line, see personal chef on the Main Line — that page covers both standing work and event bookings.
Service Areas Across Pennsylvania
Philadelphia — Center City (Rittenhouse, Logan Square, Washington Square, Society Hill, Old City), Northern Liberties, Fishtown, Chestnut Hill, Mt. Airy, Manayunk, and the South Philadelphia neighborhoods including Bella Vista, Graduate Hospital, Queen Village, and Passyunk.
The Main Line — Bryn Mawr, Wayne, Villanova, Gladwyne, Ardmore, Haverford, Devon, Berwyn, Malvern, and the broader Lower Merion area.
What Gets Cooked
Pennsylvania menus draw from real sourcing relationships. Reading Terminal, Iovine Brothers, Italian Market vendors, and direct accounts with regional growers shape the rotation. Through the year:
- Lancaster County produce when the markets are open
- Pasture-raised proteins from southeastern PA farms
- Seafood routed through Philadelphia and South Jersey suppliers
- Pastry and bread baked or sourced fresh — never reheated frozen
Plating and presentation match the room. A coursed dinner in a Gladwyne dining room is staged differently than a Sunday brunch in a Rittenhouse condo.

Pennsylvania FAQ
Do I need a private chef or a personal chef?
Private chef work is ongoing — built around weekly or monthly cadence. Personal chef work is event-based — a specific dinner, brunch, or occasion. Most households arrive uncertain which they need; that gets sorted during the consultation.
What parts of Pennsylvania are served?
Philadelphia and surrounding neighborhoods, plus the full Main Line. Other PA markets by request.
Do you handle dietary restrictions?
Standard. Allergies, intolerances, religious requirements, athletic protocols, and medical diets are built into every menu.
How far in advance should I book?
Four to eight weeks for personal chef bookings. Standing private chef engagements typically start with a two-week trial before locking in cadence.
