Virtual Cooking Classes with Chef Matt - Chef Matts Culinary Creations

Virtual Cooking Classes with Chef Matt

Live from your own counter, anywhere in the country. Small groups, not two hundred squares — the chef will know your name and tell you when to move the pan.

Most virtual cooking classes are broadcasts. Hundreds of squares on a screen, an instructor reading a script, and no one to notice your pan isn't hot enough. This is the opposite of that.

You get a curated shopping list with the brands and cuts that matter, sent a week ahead. Then we cook together, live, capped so there's room for a chef to actually watch what you're doing. You keep the recipes and the recording. Available nationwide — no travel fee, because there's no travel.

Prefer Chef Matt in the room with you? Book an in-home cooking class instead, or explore private dinner parties and weekly meal prep across NJ, PA, and SC.

Launching Soon — Dates To Be Determined

Chef Matt's live virtual cooking classes are still in development. The format, menus, and pricing below are final, but no class dates have been scheduled yet and seats are not yet on sale. Send an inquiry to join the early list and we'll reach out first when the calendar opens. In the meantime, in-home cooking classes are available now across NJ, PA, and SC.

Not yet on sale — pricing and format below are final, but dates are still to be determined. Once live, both formats book up to 72 hours before class.

    Public Classes

    Upcoming Dates

No public class dates are scheduled yet — the calendar is still being built. Public classes will be $75 per person with no minimum when booking opens.

Under construction — class dates to be determined.

In the meantime, send us a note and we'll notify you first when dates are posted.

A virtual class is 90 minutes, live, with Chef Matt cooking alongside you. It is not a recorded course and it is not a webinar. The small group size is the whole design: a chef can coach a room of home cooks and still catch a pan that isn't hot, and cannot coach 200 people.

    How the Week Before Works

About a week out you get two documents: a curated shopping list — specific brands, specific cuts, acceptable substitutions — and an equipment checklist built around an ordinary home kitchen. Private classes get the grocery order built for them instead; you review it and click buy. Ingredient cost is always separate from the class price and always yours.

    What Happens Live

Chef Matt cooks the menu with you rather than in front of you. Every step is demonstrated, then you do it while he watches. Heat, seasoning, knife grip, and timing get corrected out loud, by name. Questions are answered as they happen — the class is small enough for that to work.

    What You Keep

    • A recipe booklet for the full menu
    • The session recording, so you can cook it again with the chef paused
    • The technique, which is the actual point

Private clients also get a two-week follow-up — a check-in on what you cooked since, and what went sideways when we weren't watching.

    Corporate & Remote Teams

Remote teams book the private format at $100 per person with an 8-person minimum ($800). For larger groups, or if you want ingredient kits shipped to each participant instead of a shopping list, get in touch and we'll scope it. Full details, invoicing terms, and sample team menus are on the corporate virtual cooking classes page.

    Bachelorette Parties & Showers

Bridal parties book the private format at $100 per person with an 8-person minimum ($800), and smaller parties often join a public class instead at $75 per person. Menus, cocktail pairings, and booking lead times for bridal groups are on the virtual bachelorette cooking class page.

    Virtual Cocktail Making Classes

A shorter, looser format for corporate happy hours, friend groups in different cities, and bachelorette warm-ups. 60 minutes, three cocktails, one technique, and a bar list sent to everyone in advance. Pricing is $100 per person with an 8-person minimum ($800). Full details are on the virtual cocktail making class page.

    Virtual Pasta Making Class

The most requested format. Dough from scratch, three shapes, two sauces, and no pasta machine required. Works for families with kids and friend groups in different cities. Public classes at $75 per person; private classes at $100 per person with an 8-person minimum ($800). Full details are on the virtual pasta making class page.

    How It Works

    1. 1

      Pick Public or Private

Public classes run on set dates at $75 per person with no minimum. Private classes run on your date at $100 per person with an 8-person minimum ($800), and include a custom menu built with you.

    2. 2

Get Your List a Week Ahead

A curated shopping list — specific brands, specific cuts, acceptable substitutions — plus an equipment checklist built around an ordinary home kitchen. Private clients get the grocery order built for them; just click buy.

    3. 3

      Set Up to Cook Along

Prop a laptop or tablet where you can see it from the counter, log in, and you're set. No app to learn.

    4. 4

      Cook Live for 90 Minutes

Chef Matt cooks the menu with you, not at you. Every step gets demonstrated, then you do it while he watches — heat, seasoning, knife grip, and timing corrected out loud, by name.

    5. 5

      Eat What You Made

Class ends at the table. You sit down to the meal you just cooked, in your own house, with no chef to see out the door.

    6. 6

      Keep the Recipes & Recording

The recipe booklet and the session recording are yours, so you can cook the menu again with the chef paused. Private clients also get a two-week follow-up.

A public class runs on our calendar with a set menu and other guests on the call. A private class is your group only, on your date, with a menu built for your occasion.

Yes. Private classes have an 8-person minimum, so a group of five books at $800. If that's more than you're after, grab five seats in the next public class instead.

72 hours for both public and private. Private bookings get their shopping list the same day they book, so there's time to shop before class.

No. Cook together in one kitchen or spread across the country — it's priced per person either way.

In-home classes are $150 per person and we bring everything. Virtual is $100 per person private, because you shop and you clean up. Same chef, same instruction, same 90 minutes.

Why Book Virtual Cooking Classes With Chef Matts

Bringing a chef into your home should feel calm, considered, and personal — not transactional. Every booking with Chef Matts Culinary Creations starts with a real conversation about your household: how many people you're feeding, the dietary preferences and restrictions involved, the kitchen we'll be working in, and the kind of experience you want to create. From there, Chef Matt builds a custom menu and confirms every detail in writing well before the date.

The service itself is fully turnkey. We handle planning, seasonal sourcing, in-home cooking, plating or portioning, and a complete kitchen cleanup before we leave. With more than eighteen years in professional kitchens — including time as an executive chef by age twenty-two and ongoing membership in the United States Personal Chef Association — Chef Matt brings restaurant-level technique into homes across South Jersey, the Jersey Shore, the Philadelphia Main Line, and South Carolina's Grand Strand.
